Ranked #2 in neonatal care/NICU, Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio is a world leader in the treatment of children with heart disease, cystic fibrosis, sickle cell disease and endocrine and metabolic disorders. Rainbow is also among the best hospitals in the country for neurology/neurosurgery and respiratory disorders.

Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital had a multitude of completely separate websites each serving a different part of the hospital and implemented with different technologies. To make matters worse, management of the websites was completely lacking and each department had there own method for publishing content. Rainbow wished to consolidate their websites under one umbrella and under one content management system.

X3 worked with the various departments to design a new user experience that brought the unique spirit of each of the legacy websites into one cohesive website. The new website was an immediate success with stakeholders both within and outside of the hospital. Furthermore, the IT team was very glad to have the content management centralized under one tool. Most importantly, visitors to the hospital took notice and the IT team received many compliments on the quality of their website in comparison to other hospitals in the area.
