Application Prototyping

Application prototyping, also called rapid application development (RAD) is a software development methodology that uses minimal planning in favor of rapid prototyping. The "planning" of software developed using RAD is interleaved with writing the software itself. The lack of extensive pre-planning generally allows software to be written much faster, and makes it easier to change requirements.

Sometimes, the best approach is to simply put ideas to the test by building a quick and dirty prototype. Sometimes, its difficult to know exactly how it will work until you see it on the screen. Often this methodology can help build consensus or more effectively convey a difficult to communicate idea. By putting an early idea to the screen, it often becomes clear how to fully execute it.

How can I use application prototyping to help my project?

X3 can help put your ideas into an end-user format that can be presented and tested before taking the full development plunge. As a result, you can show investors and customers what they should expect or where your project is heading - at a fraction of the cost of a full design effort.

If your prototype idea doesn't quite work out they way you had hoped, you can feel comfortable throwing it away, knowing it didn't cost you much to try it out. And when it does work, you can also feel comfortable knowing that your prototype won't go to waste as we always plan to reuse and flush out our prototypes to build your production ready solution.

X3 can help you with your application prototyping project.
